Dr. Rebecca Walton, DVM, DACVECC
Board-Certified in Emergency & Critical Care

Dr. Walton brings extensive experience managing the most critical and complex emergency cases, providing advanced monitoring and life-saving interventions.

A Note from Dr. Walton:
“I’m from Southern California but spent much of my training across the country. I completed veterinary school in Southern California, followed by a rotating internship at the University of Minnesota and an Emergency & Critical Care residency at North Carolina State University. After residency, I served on faculty at Iowa State University for seven years before returning home to Southern California.

Being a criticalist allows me to care for the sickest ER and hospitalized patients while collaborating closely with multiple specialties to provide multimodal care. I especially enjoy respiratory and toxicology emergencies, as well as extracorporeal therapy. I thrive in the fast-paced emergency setting and value building relationships with families during critical moments.”

Dr. Kristen Kelly, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)
Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist

Dr. Kelly specializes in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions affecting the gastrointestinal, kidney, liver, endocrine, and immune systems.

A Note from Dr. Kelly:
“Hi, I’m Dr. Kristen Kelly and I specialize in internal medicine at Bixby Animal Specialty & Emergency. I help pets with complex health issues involving the gastrointestinal, kidney, liver, endocrine, and immune systems. I use diagnostic ultrasound and endoscopy to provide minimally invasive diagnostics, and also perform bone marrow sampling, joint taps, fine needle aspirates, and airway sampling.

I love partnering with pet owners to navigate complicated medical cases and ensure every pet receives compassionate, expert care.”
